now i believe we were meant for each other.

Our hands lock naturally like the entwining morning glory vines on sharp, silvery wire fences..
we are Inseparable.

Our smiles meet like the warm and cold waters of the Indian and Atlantic oceans swirling and mixing..
this is Exciting.

Our reach stretches to each others like how the sky and the seas join at the horizons to form the graceful transition..
the Beautiful.

Our hearts beat together as one like the moment arms of time ticking on and on for us to move forward, not back..
we are Forever.

we belong to each other, we belong together, we will prevail despite the distance and hardships. we do this to ourselves not out of torture, but because we love each other.

this is love.

This goes out to my darling girl, you know who you are! =D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This goes out to my special girl,
You are my heaven in all the world.
Though miles away across the land,
Still you manage to hold my hand.
Oh so peculiar the way we met,
We'd be taunted if we told, I bet!
But so what of the thoughts of others,
When the only thoughts are ours that matters.
You left me stunned and oh so amazed,
With your beautiful enchanting mystical gaze.
Now I love to stare at the bright blue skies,
To remind me of the shine in your eyes.
I'll let you in and I'll hold you tight,
Protect and defend you with all my might.
The strength you give me to fight on through,
I'll use it for me to fight for you.
You asked me not to let you go,
But how could I when I love you so.
Believe in us that we can make it through,
After all, you know, I'd rather be with you.
I miss you dear...
THANK YOU
  1. Melissa: Has to be you darling... from taking ur first night timeout to visit us, to keeping us out of the cold by lending us your sofa bed... from introducing us to people we can keep as friends, to being the most gracious host I have met... Love you lots dear sis...
  2. Ming Yow & Anthea: Pushing for the most worthwhile games in the competition I have had, you two are the reason I enjoyed myself. I'm sorry if I gave you both a hard time, I do admit I get crabby... Thanks for bearing with me!
  3. Jian: Probably the friendliest person I can come across ever! Thanks for bringing us here and there and showing us that we don't need the clubs to have fun... More importantly, for pushing for me to play in mixed... Come to Sydney before u leave for Singapore! This I do Insist!
  4. Kylie: Definitely you, for putting up with my constant on-court orders/barking... we did well, but more outstandingly, YOU did well! I have to say I am impressed and really proud of you! Thanks for the great memories and all the fun we had making them!
  5. Sydneysiders - Ca Mei, Joanna, Mei Fang, Mei Jin: Shopping was good eh girls?? Thanks for all the support... my only regret was not being able to hold my nerve and play to win. We will go out soon! Definitely!
  6. Chin Yoong: Not part of the celebrations, but still the one person I adore for all your strength to brave the blistering cold and wet weather to bring me around, showing me what Melbourne was about from your point of view! I promise I will get Yuki no Hana done soon... and when it is, it will be for You!
  7. Unc Gavin, Aunt Linda, Unc Kong Fah, Aunt Lily, Lee Mei, Kenneth, Chrispian: For everything you all gave and done for us to complete the wonderful circle of our trip. 15 years was a long time to wait to get accustomed to Melbourne again, but the wait was definitely worth while.
I learnt something new today. I learnt humility.
When someone comes with compliments, you revel in the thought in all greatness. I do that. All the time too. However, something set me in my place today... Something I never thought I would bring out from a few people at a much higher standard.
"You improved!"... Alex, Liam... Kevin.
2 words... 3 names. 2 simple words that have the meaning that you can do something better than before. Something that most people brush off due to arrogance. 3 names that are synonymous with critic and talent. Means nothing to most people. Means the world to me...
Kevin and Alex. Both high standard badminton players in UNSW Badminton Club... One Open grader and one A-grader. Both Malaysian! Masters of the racquet and tactics technicians...
Liam... my worst critic in all that I ever do...
It grounded me for the moments that Alex told me that... and said Kevin told him that too. Yeah, it felt awesome... but this time, I felt that after all the hard work I put into training for the past 6-7 weeks, I felt that it was a humbling experience when it came from the best player I know in UNSW and another person I respect for being an inspiration to my game.
Another name I want to pull out of thin air... James.
A coach like none other. Pushes you hard physically? Definitely... Pushes you hard mentally? Definitely... Old school? Maybe not... but what he lacks in criticism he makes up for (in abundance) in positive encouragement. A coach he may be, but he's different because he's a friend too.
For all that I've come through in my badminton career, I can say I've just begun. I will strive to be better under the guidance of friends now! Let the critics talk, for then I will listen... And I will, one day, prove them wrong. Determination is my name, improvement is my game.
Thanks guys for this humbling experience.
